Routing Profiles

Some networks are best reached through higher-quality transit paths to reduce congestion and improve performance. These paths are more costly to operate, so we offer them through separate routing profiles instead of including them in every instance by default.

This helps us keep our standard pricing competitive while still giving customers the option to choose better connectivity where needed.

Routing profiles are available as Premium, Premium Plus, and Premium Pro.

As transit costs improve over time, we may move certain networks to a lower routing profile so more customers can benefit from better routing at no additional cost.

The following routing profiles are available by region:

Disclaimers

  • BYOIP announcements will be using the Premium routing profile regardless instance type, please open a support ticket if you need a different routing profile for your BYOIP announcements.
  • Routing profiles apply to egress traffic from Misaka.io toward the listed networks. Ingress traffic from those networks may still use the normal IP transit blend.
  • Routing profiles are best-effort and do not guarantee a specific latency, packet loss rate, or network path.
  • Actual routes may change because of congestion, maintenance, outages, commercial changes, or upstream routing policy. We try to keep each routing profile stable, but cannot guarantee that the same path will always be used.
  • Listed carriers represent preferred routing options for the target network. They are not exclusive or guaranteed paths.
  • Destinations may move between routing profiles when network quality, availability, or transit costs change.
